As the holidays draw closer and the weather heats up - I like having my comfortable summer outfit options sorted. Care free outfits that can just be thrown on with out a second thought, ready for a picnic in the park, a day at the beach or a weekend home chilling out with friends and family. This summer you won't find me with out my NY yankees cap (a gift from a friend!), white Converse or a unique pair of sunglasses, all which tie in perfectly with my Haji Hottie jumpsuit in Ikat by Vamastyle.
A little bit chuffed with my interview for The White Apartment. If you want to know what I get up to when I'm not blogging (not that I have been doing a lot of that lately), then head over to the The White Apartment for a geez. A fabulous new lifestyle website with plenty of reading to keep you entertained week in week out.
Summertime approaches which means we are swapping our jeans for shorts and out jackets for tanks. Something about these pictures reminds my of far North Queensland. I think it's the dryness of the grass behind me and the warm saturated colours. Very costal looking and very hot! Anyway, my wardrobe has made a full rotation and the knits and coats have been pushed to the very back (however, there was an unexpected cold snap last week), I'm sure it's going to be all about how little clothing we can get away with wearing from now until at least May next year. As long as options like these from Beginning Boutique and Vama Style keep on rolling out, then you shouldn't hear too much complaining coming from me.
It was so nice to escape the realities of work and study for one night last Friday. As soon as my last email was sent and my possessions were packed up, I bolted to the car. I was excited for a night to be spent with blogger friends and beautiful clothes. James Street, Brisbane is my favourite local shopping spot and welcoming a new designer to the street is like welcoming a new born baby into a family. The new Gail Sorronda flagship store is the perfect addition to the fashion precinct, settling in nicely next door to Camilla and across the road from Calexico and surrounded by several more of my favourites. Gail and her amazing team so kindly dressed me for the occasion in the 'Ex Lion Tamer' Jumpsuit, which looked and felt sensational to say the very least. Slightly devastated to hand the garment back, I've not stop thinking about it since and give me the opportunity, I may just sneak back instore and nab it! I highly recommend that if you are a local Brisbanite or even a tourist just visiting, you need to add this store to you 'must visit' list. You won't be disappointed.

A photo diary of my impromptu trip to Amsterdam last week. Honestly one of the most beautiful cities in the world and despite being there twice now, it never ceases to amaze me. I wined and dined and ate masses of cheese all week and generally had a very merry time whilst still attending to my work agenda.
