Jewel Tones.

The perfect shoes for the perfect dress? I think so. The Georgio Wedge by RMK Shoes were my only choice to pair with my Camilla and Marc Revival Dress. The beautiful peacock suede really helps make the jewel tone colours of the botanical print just pop, not to mention how well they elongate my short little legs. Despite these wedges been dangerously high, they are so easy to walk around in thanks to that handy little platform at the front. I have rocked this combo several times of the last couple of weeks, and I think this outfit has many wears still to come.

Threadbare.Co. COMPETITION.

Collars... they are delicate pretty little things aren't they? Their limits are almost endless as well in terms of style and design. Take this one for example.. I literally walked past an op shop and purchased the brightest shirt I could see from the window and used the body of the shirt to create the tiny little flowers, attaching them by using little paper studs that you use on fancy invites etc. Best $4 I've ever spent.

For those of you who are after something a little bit more "spectacular"  such as the Ellery collar pictured below. You are in luck! have set a creative challenge that you can all enter, with a chance to win this amazing piece.

All you have to do is:

1. Comment on this blog post to confirm your entry.
3. Use the Ellery collar template to style your own outfit, and post the image to the Facebook wall.

How to win the ELLERY Collar:

1. Tell your friends to like on Facebook (This will confirm a valid vote).
2. Tell your friends to like your entry on the Facebook wall

I think there might be some samples on the page already for you to see, but you can make it out of paper if you want! Show everyone how creative you are and be sure to tweet me you picture if you do enter.

Good luck!

Sporty Spice.

Trying to put together outfits for MBFWA (which I am so extreemly excited about) and I am determined to put something together that is "Sports Chic". I have seen so much amazing stuff like this and this and this too! Clearly though, a week in Sydney doesn't come cheap. So I have had to weigh up my priorities and avoid looking at such items. I'm getting there slowly... but I still feel like I don't have anywhere near enough stuff to take away with me.

Walk The Boardwalk.

The trans-seasonal winds are blowing around like crazy at the moment. One second the sun is shinning and by the afternoon things are looking pretty gloomy. It does however present the perfect opportunity to mix my layers up. I bought this jacket before heading over to Europe and it was a god send, not to mention its versatility as I can wear it over anything from skirts (like this SUPRÉ wetlook one), jeans or dresses. We got these photo's just in the nick of time, as you can see from the last photo, the rain started spitting and we had to get out of there pretty quickly (Run! The McQueen can't get wet!).

I always find I get the strangest looks when shooting an outfit post. Little Georgie and I had a good giggle at the people on the ferry gawking at that weird girl in the giant stelitos walking up and down the boardwalk. People still have no idea what blogging is, and screw their faces up when I even mention the words "outfit post".

Pavement Pounding.

The other week I was involved in something wonderful, here in little old Brisbane. Marie Claire Magazine in conjunction with James Street, hosted their Up Late Event. You may, or may not have seen my post about it on facebook . The whole evening was a great success and I have no doubt you may have already seen some the INSIDE IN, INSIDE OUT twins photo's from the night. It's been a while since I have done a street style post, but I just couldn't go past Lucinda's outfit when she walked post, early in the evening. How smoking are these Shakuhachi shorts!?

The Cats.

These ASOS Cat Eye glasses with cut-away detail have not left my face! I love most things that a quirky (often prompting people to call me Lady GaGa in the street.. Go figure) and these glasses are no exception. They come a variety of colours now, but these pink ones stole my heart with the Prada vibe they gave off. Find them here!

P.S If you follow me on Instagram (@socialemissions), you would know that I held a bit of a voting poll for a new blog banner. What do you all think? In with the new, out with the old ?

Hey Hydrangea.

This jacket fits beautifully, drapes perfectly and all whilst serving its intended purpose of keeping me warm (while still looking cool) over the next couple of months.  I have been assessing my winter staples of late, and I can't even begin to express how much I'm looking forward to it. This Staple the Label jacket from Beginning Boutique is going to be on full rotation for the whole season.

Sorry for being a bit MIA. I have a bit of a habit of putting to much on my plate. Amongst interning, a new job, still working my old job and attempting to complete full time studies, it's safe to say that my time is fairly precious. Fear not though, I have some pretty exciting things to share with you over the next couple of months.
